My 30 x 30 Bucket List
I’m not in denial that I’m on the older side of 25.
I’m still young, I’m still a millennial, the hangovers are harder but I still have as much energy and fun as I did when I was 20 years old.
My dad always says we should run around and enjoy life – every moment of it – while we’re young and able. Work hard, but play hard.
It’s the “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” mentality; I’ll relax when I’m older.
I like to think I’ve been doing a pretty good job of that so far. I’m always looking to go somewhere new, try somewhere different, and experience something (anything!) every single day.
So naturally I have a bucket list.
Starting with a 25×25 bucket list.
Which I’ll say, I made a pretty big dent in – crossing off 16 of my 25 items.
And now, at 26, I’m finally sitting down to come up with a 30×30 list, to challenge myself over the next 4 years and accomplish some of these feats.
This isn’t because I’m scared of turning 30 or because I think my life will stop after I’m 3 decades old. It’s more of an encouragement to not relax yet. To do things NOW.
What better way to cross them off then with a deadline pushing you to finish them by?
While extremely travel focused, my list is a mix of countries I want to see, plus learning new things, and experiences I want to have with certain people.
The first 9 on this list are the leftovers from my 25×25. The rest is a compilation of thoughts I’d written down in my notes or saved on Pinterest over the last year, plus some stand out things I’d always dreamt of doing.
I’ve actually already crossed off five of them since turning 26!
