Ritz Carlton Hotels & Resorts are pretty much synonymous with luxury and prestige. Is there anything more glamorous then staying at a Ritz? I was extremely lucky to be staying at the Ritz Carlton Montreal during my recent trip North, and let me tell you – it surpassed every notion I had ever had of staying at one of these hotels.
The rooms were pure bliss. A king-size bed you never wanted to leave, complete with a chandelier and walk-in closet. The bathroom had heated toilet seats, rainfall shower heads and a huge bathtub. With a little champagne sent up to my room, I may or may not have spent my first night in Montreal taking a bubble bath and relaxing in my bathrobe.
This five-star hotel originally opened in 1912. Recently renovated to include modern amenities and a contemporary design, staying at the Ritz Carlton Montreal means posting up in the only Quebec hotel to hold the prestigious AAA Five Diamond. Conveniently located in Downtown Montreal – you’re close to the famed shopping on Rue-Saint Catherine and a short walk or bike ride to Old Montreal.
From a fine-dining restaurant by Chef Daniel Boulud and a lounge that serves high-tea on weekend afternoons, to an indoor saltwater pool and luxe spa. You could easily forget there’s a whole city outside these walls to explore.
Oh and not to forget, the Dom Perignon Champagne Bar. Top notch at its finest.
Darling, if you find yourself visiting Montreal, I highly recommend staying in the Ritz Carlton.
